AAdvantage Insurance Group is excited to announce our charity spotlight in the month of April will be on Veda’s Care Closet. For every referral received in April, a donation will be made to Veda’s. We will also be accepting monetary and consumable donations such as shelf stable foods, hygiene products, and school supplies in our office. Donations can be brought to AAdvantage Insurance Group located at 78 Main Street, Glen Carbon, Illinois from 8:30am to 5:00pm every Monday through Friday during the month of April.
Veda’s Care Closet was founded by Edwardsville High School students Veda Kommineni and Caroline James. Their goal is to provide easily accessible essentials to low-income students in District 7. What started out as a few stocked lockers has grown, thanks to over $1,000 in community donations in just their first year. Veda and Caroline believe that when students don’t have to worry about essentials such as when they will get their next meal, they can focus more on their education.
The team at AAdvantage support the mission of Veda’s Care Closet and believe that a successful community begins with successful kids. We are looking forward to our partnership with Veda’s in the month of April and being able to raise funds and goods for such a worthy and necessary cause.
